Nov 28 Sent a brace of Pheasants each to J. Cox & Cooper, Cox & Stonier, from B. Scriven.

Nov 13 Paid James Hughes for Standard Life Assurance Cheque for £27 15s. 0d.

Nov 13 Paid A. P. Morris 54/- for Accidental Assurance Bonus year 6/- less.

Nov 16 Called on Freer & Perry and swore affidavit in Dawsons & in Astons affairs & sent proxy of the former to Price & his Clerk. Joe will go Astons meeting at Preston.

Nov 24 Joe went to Wellington and from there to Preston on the 27th to attend Meeting of Astons Assoc. This meeting were unanimous in accepting 12/6 in £ @ 6,12 & 18 months, the last guaranteed.

Nov 30 Received 8 Brace Pheasants from Joscelyne. Sent 3 brace home & one to Sarah Hall, Stoke-on-Trent. Two brace in Hamper to Cullum & Sharfull & two brace in hamper to Bacon & Burdett.

Dec 4 Sent Cambrian debenture No. 57 to Geo. Lewis Esq. Cambrian Railways Offices, Oswestry.

Nov 30 Remitted Jim Seven pounds his usual months allowance.

Dec 1 Sent Maria Stevens a round of Beef for Xmas.

Dec 16 Paid Mr. Scriven £5 16.6 for Pig, 228lbs @ 6d. & killing 1/6.

Dec 15 Sent Beauty to Mr. Horseleys.

Dec 18 Attended Meeting and Annual Dinner of Flint Glass Trade at the Great Western Hotel, Birmingham. Present: Dr. Lloyd, Jas. Walker, Robinson, Sarson, Bolton, J. & G. Mills, Wilkes Webb, Will Webb, Davis, Hammond, W. Richardson, Smith, J. Richardson, Smith, J. Richardson, S.C.W., Stuart - elected officers.

Dec 19 Gave 21/- towards Fire engine at Brierley Hill.

Dec 19 Gave J. S. Rollinson & Beckley 21/- towards Fire engine for Brierley Hill.

Dec 23 Jim came home for Xmas and returned on the 27th. Gave him cheque for Twenty pounds dated the 30th allowance seven pounds, clothes £6, Fare 20/- & £6 for his expences to London for his examination.

Dec 22 Received a hamper from Mr. Barber containing a Turkey, brace of Partridges, etc. two Pork pies and some Pears.
